Caesium is an open-source application that compresses photos and can considerably reduce their size without remarkably affecting their visual quality.
Caesium supports images of all popular file formats: BMP, PNG, JPG/JPEG, TIF/TIFF, PPM, XPM, and XBM. It even works with high resolution photos. Unfortunately GIF files are not supported.
Caesium is also very easy to use. Its simple and straightforward interface can be used by anyone. I would have liked the preview panel to display the images fit to the window size by default, and not zoomed in to their original sizes, as I think it would be handier this way, but this might be just a matter of taste.
Even though it’s easy to use, it’s also very accurate and powerful. It can compress images to up to 10% of their original size, while considerably preserving their visual quality. The possibility of batch processing multiple photos at once and the fast resizing speed ensure that compressing images will take only a few seconds. It can even save the settings as profiles that can be quickly reloaded when needed.
In conclusion, Caesium is a great tool that offers a really convenient and reliable solution to batch resize multiple images at once.
